Alternatively, here is the high resolution stitched topography from SRTM tiles for the Bonn Radar domain. user:“pshrestha” had created this data earlier for his work using the SRTM input files. It is available for cluma2 in the top directory, and for the local machine in the bottom one.

/daten01/z4/database/sharedtoScienceClusters/srtm_bonnRadar_domain.nc
/automount/cluma01/z4/database/sharedtoScienceClusters/srtm_bonnRadar_domain.nc

Its covered domain encompasses what is cut out from the COSMO-DE domain in the wiki page ‘Coarse data’ and just slightly more, in total a latitude-longitude rectangle with its corners at 49 °N 10 °E and 53 °N 4 °E, or in terms of endonyms: Schwäbisch-Fränkischer Wald, Münster, Texel, Reims. The file resolves 35 m.
